How To Make Your Own Massage Oil.

81989662_wide

Massages can be healing, relaxing and uplifting for the body and mind, and high-quality massage oil can do wonders to enhance the benefits of a massage.

Although massage oils are often thought of as an expensive and luxurious product you buy at a salon or spa, it’s actually quite easy to make your own custom massage oil blend at home.

Here’s what you will need:

A Glass Bottle

The size is up to you, but the most important thing is that the glass is dark or tinted in some way. This is to protect your oils from going rancid.

A Carrier Oil

Your carrier oil is your base oil and will make up the majority of your massage oil blend. These are 5 popular and effective choices:

Coconut oil: Coconut oil will give your blend a tropical scent, as well as all the benefits to your hair, skin, and nails that coconut oil is so well known for.

Sweet almond oil: This is probably the most widely used massage oil as it spreads well and is easily absorbed by the skin. It has a mild, nutty aroma that blends well with many different scents.

Cold-Pressed sunflower oil: This is a great budget alternative to sweet almond oil. Rich in vitamins, it also spreads just as well as sweet almond oil and has a very mild scent, which makes it very versatile. It does tend to leave a little extra grease on the skin, however.

Grapeseed oil: This is a light oil that works best with oily skin types. High in vitamins, it is almost odourless, which means it will mix well with any scents you choose.

Olive oil: This oil tends to be thicker and greasier than the others and has a stronger smell. The benefits of the oil, however, are that it can effectively soothe joint and muscle pain, as well as improve skin strength and elasticity. Good for very dry skin.

3. Essential Oils
Once you have your carrier oil, you’ll need to choose some essential oils. Your choice can be based on the scent of an oil and on the effect it has on your muscles or your mood. Here are some common oils:

· Lavender
· Lemon
· Rosemary
· Sandalwood
· Cinnamon
· Peppermint
· Rose
· Jasmine
· Eucalyptus
· Sweet Marjoram
· Sweet Orange
· Bergamot

You can make a good massage oil using only one of these, but most massage oil blends use three or more. As you become more experienced at making your own blends, you’ll get better at mixing and understanding what oils work well together.

Until then, here’s a simple ‘relaxation’ blend you can try:

  • ¼ cup carrier oil
  • 7 drops lavender essential oil
  • 7 drops rosemary essential oil
  • 7 drops bergamot essential oil (optional)

As a general rule, you’ll want to use about 70 drops of essential oils for every 8 oz. of carrier oil. To blend the oils, drop the essential oils into your glass bottle first, then add the carrier oil. Put the top on the bottle, and then roll the bottle between your palms in order to blend the oils.

Not only is making your own blend wonderful for when you want to give personalised massages to friends and family, but massage oils also make very popular and appreciated gifts. We hope you enjoy making and using these as much as we do!

How to make your own french toast THE RIGHT WAY.

giphy6

Did you know that there are many ways to create something? Well, the answer is yes and those many ways are mostly wrong.I will tell you how to create French toast the right way.I tried three different ways to create it and between those three there is only one.If you are not familiar with French toast sometimes it’s called eggy bread. It’s not really toasted, but fried bread. It would make a wonderful teatime treat.

The things you will need~

  • Two bowls
  • A frying pan
  • Fish slice
  • A fork or a spoon
  • Toppings (optional)

The ingredients, you will need~

(for 2-3 servings )

  • One egg for each type of toast.
  • Three slices of bread for each egg.
  • Large pinches of salt and pepper.

For frying~

  • 30g (1 oz) butter.
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

Now let’s mix them all together~

  1. Break an egg into a bowl.Add the salt and pepper and beat the egg with a fork until it is evenly mixed and frothy.
  2. Dip each slice of bread into the beaten egg so that the bread is evenly coated with egg on both sides.
  3. Heat the butter and oil in the frying pan. When the pan is hot, fry the bread on both sides until it is golden brown.
  4. You can add toppings if you want because it’s optional.

Now you can enjoy the French toast like you are eating chicken.

Here are some pictures of my French toast.

What is Webinar?

WEBINAR TIME!!

This post is related to my other post called ” 7 Blogger Collaborations to Get you noticed”.One of my friends asked me what is Webinar.

Short for Web-based seminar, a webinar is a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar that is transmitted over the Web using video conferencing software. A key feature of a Webinar is its interactive elements: the ability to give, receive and discuss information in real-time.

Using Webinar software participants can share audio, documents and applications with webinar attendees. This is useful when the webinar host is conducting a lecture or information session. While the presenter is speaking they can share desktop applications and documents.

Contrast with Webcast, in which the data transmission is one way and does not allow interaction between the presenter and the audience.

7 Blogger Collaborations to Get You Noticed

(something that caught my eye on Canva XP)

Blogger collaborations are a great way to get noticed online. Not only will you be able to work alongside another amazing blogger (or bloggers), but you will both be exposed to new attracting readers to your sites. You can share your expertise with a whole new group of people who might be looking for someone just like you. And you just might find your best friend who blogs! Now, there are many ways you can team up with another blogger to create something awesome. I’m sharing a few ideas you can pitch to a blogger friend yours!

7 BLOGGER COLLABORATIONS TO GET YOU NOTICED

  1. Guest posting.

Writing a guest post for another blog is probably the simplest of the blogger collaborations you can do, but one that is still very effective. Guest posts allow you to get your writing in front of new readers to your site. It’s a good idea to get a few guest posts around the time you’re launching a product so you can get more people checking it out! Or if you’re heading off for vacation and don’t have enough content to keep your readers busy, invite your favourites to guest post!
  2. Webinars.

I’ve seen many bloggers partnering to do webinars together lately. (And even doing Periscope broadcasts together!) Video content is great because it allows your readers to get to see another side of you, instead of always just reading your content. And if you’re feeling nervous about doing a webinar, it can be great to have someone else hosting with you. Webinars are perfect for promoting new products and services and you can each offer a discount to viewers who purchase both at the end!

  3. Interview someone.

Another one of the simpler blogger collaborations is to reach out to someone you look up to in your field and ask for an interview. Not only will you benefit from the thoughts they share with you, so will your readers! And your interviewee will likely share the interview with their audience, which gets more traffic to your website!

  4. Create a podcast.

Have you been wanting to start your own podcast? Get a blogger friend in on the action. Two heads are better than one, right?

  5. Run a giveaway together.

You’ve probably run a giveaway on your blog before, but have you thought about turning it into a collaboration? You can each pitch in to purchase a prize for your readers or reach out to a brand to sponsor it. Then, you can run it on your own blog through a Rafflecopter giveaway or create a loop giveaway on Instagram. It’s the perfect way to reward your readers!

  6. Create and sell a product.

Share your knowledge with the world by creating the most epic of blogger collaborations: join forces to create and sell an eBook or e-course. Of course, if you’re doing something like this and money is involved, make sure you draw up an agreement and split the profits 50/50 to avoid any issues down the road!

  7. Form a blogger network.

Find a blogger in your area and work together to form a network of other bloggers you can meet and connect with. Or if you don’t know of anyone in your area, create a blogger network of others in your field. This is a fantastic way to meet new people and could spark many collaborations down the road.

Hope all of these tips are very helpful to you.Not only you will make collaborating easier but it helps you to collaborate a lot more because it’s easy.

XOXO, Salma
